Dr. Sedita received her Naturopathic medical degree at the University of Bridgeport in the College of Naturopathic Medicine, in Bridgeport, CT. Prior to entering UB, Dr. Sedita obtained her Bachelors of Science from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT. Since graduating from UB Dr. Sedita has studied at the New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, MA taking advanced continuing education courses in Oriental medicine with a focus on Acupuncture for acute and chronic conditions. Dr. Sedita has been practicing in Guilford, CT and has now also joined the Family Wellness Center here in Mystic.
Dr. Sedita can treat a wide range of chronic health conditions as well as educating the patient on the power of prevention. During the initial visit the patients overall concerns are investigated and a game plan to achieve the desired result is made. A goal of many patients is to address a condition that is often not completely controlled with standard medicine. Some patients may choose to find an alternative to their prescription medication or to receive treatment for a condition not recognized or treated by standard medicine. There are additional various diagnostic tests that can be utilized which will aid in diagnosing a condition correctly. These tests can be used to detect dysfunction in some of the key regulatory systems in the body.
